COVID Economic Resilience Committee (CERC)-Humboldt
A Committee got together for the first time Monday (3/16/2020) morning to work on providing information, resources, and services to support local businesses and employers through the COVID 19 pandemic. This group is self-organizing and currently comprises representatives from SBDC, the Chambers, County and City departments, and more. North Coast SBDC is on point for service and information delivery, so please keep telling us what your questions and needs are. The McKinleyville Chamber is an active part of this committee and working to help our members through this time.

IRSThe Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service are providing special payment relief to individuals and businesses in response to the COVID-19 Outbreak. The filing deadline for tax returns remains April 15, 2020. The IRS urges taxpayers who are owed a refund to file as quickly as possible. For those who can't file by the April 15, 2020 deadline, the IRS reminds individual taxpayers that everyone is eligible to request a six-month extension to file their return.

Facebook Grants: Facebook has announced a program of cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
Click here for more information. This was just announced, so they are in the beginning stages. You can sign up to receive updates when more information becomes available. 

Bumble GrantUntil April 5th, small business owners can submit a request to receive up to $5k in monetary support from Bumble. To apply, head to the Bumble app and match with the Bumble Community Grants profile from any mode.
