Community grants are one of many ways Coast Central demonstrates the credit union mission. On Thursday, October 17, credit union members worldwide will celebrate International Credit Union Day®, an annual event commemorating the impact and achievements of the credit union movement. This year marks the 76th anniversary of this annual event, which will be celebrated under the theme of “One World Through Cooperative Finance.” In honor of this special day, members can enter an opportunity to win a $250 gift card by sharing their love for credit unions and the community. Two winners will be selected and announced on October 22. Additionally, to honor the ICU Day theme of giving back, Coast Central will donate $250 to a local organization of both winners’ choice that aligns with Coast Central’s values, further reinforcing its commitment to strengthening community bonds.
Coast Central Credit Union is the largest member-owned financial institution in the area, with $2.1 billion in assets, over 78,350 members, and operating 11 Member Services Branches throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties, including McKinleyville, open six days a week and Bayshore Mall, open seven days a week.
