Meet Our Members- Humboldt Skatepark Collective

Meet our Members

This week, we are excited to feature:

Humboldt Skatepark Collective

Empowerment Through Recreation

At Humboldt Skatepark Collective (HSC), they believe in empowering communities through the creation of dynamic recreational spaces.

They have successfully built a vibrant skatepark, facilitated grant acquisition to foster growth, and sponsored thrilling events.

The Skatepark’s next focus is on Mack Town Skate Park Phase 2, McKinleyville Forest trail work and kid rides, upcoming McKinleyville Community Services District Skate camps, and more.

2025 marked a year of major organizational progress for the Humboldt Skatepark Collective!

Key Accomplishments:

  • Mountain Bike Tribal Trails Alliance becoming an independent 501(c)(3)
  • McKinleyville BMX beginning nonprofit filing
  • Willow Creek Skatepark opening
  • McKinleyville Phase 2 fundraising growth
  • Eureka Skatepark improvements
  • Northcoast Shred Sisters expanding quad, blade & board play
  • Trinity Skatepark project, name changed, HSC is back on the map!

The Collective enters 2026 with strong momentum, renewed administrative stability, and a clear strategic focus on supporting project groups, expanding youth recreation opportunities, and strengthening partnerships with schools, tribes, and local governments to provide awesome recreation to our local community families and businesses.

Time to add 6400 ft.sq.

The first phase of the McKinleyville Skatepark was completed in October 2023, with plans to expand the park further. The existing first phase is 5000 ft sq and features obstacles for all skill levels. However, it is small in its capacity to serve many riders at once. The second phase aims for an additional 6,400 square feet featuring a bowl surrounded by additional obstacles.

The HSC is raising money to make a difference and further their cause. To meet this new challenge, they’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $250,000.

With your help, they can reach their goal and continue building.
